"11 thousand 611 passengers traveled with the Touristic Eastern Express"

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that there is intense interest in touristic train services and said, "Touristic Eastern Express made a total of 84 train trips, 42 in the Ankara-Kars direction and 42 in the Kars-Ankara direction. As of the end of the period, 11 thousand 611 passengers traveled in these trips." "Ankara-Diyarbakır-Ankara Touristic Train and Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara Touristic Train will start operating," he said.

Minister Uraloğlu, while expanding high-speed and fast railway lines with the investments made in the railway sector for the last 22 years, also expanded existing conventional lines. Pointing out that the quality has been improved, he stated that tourism-oriented flights have started to be operated on these lines. Uraloğlu emphasized that the train is not just a means of transportation, but also a tool that offers very important opportunities from the revival of tourism to the development of various fields of art, and reminded that the Touristic Eastern Express was put into service for tourism purposes as an alternative to the Eastern Express on the Ankara-Kars route. Giving information about the season's services, Uraloğlu said, "The Touristic Eastern Express made a total of 84 trains, 42 in the Ankara-Kars direction and 42 in the Kars-Ankara direction. As of the end of the period, 11 thousand 611 passengers traveled in these trips."
